This year, I'm thrilled to be running the New York City Marathon! It will be my 10th Marathon, one that's been on my list since I ran my first.
I'm running as part of Team Innocence Project, a nonprofit that works to free the innocent, prevent wrongful convictions, and create fair, compassionate, and equitable systems for justice for everyone. Their work is guided by science and grounded in antiracism.
I would be honored to have your partnership and support as they work to exonerate people who have been wrongfully convicted and reform the criminal legal system.
We celebrate every time an innocent
client is exonerated, or win a policy reform. The work, however, will not be
complete until we can ensure that wrongful convictions never happen in the
first place.
There is so much more to do—and your
partnership makes their work possible. Thank you for joining us to build a
justice system that is based on science and is fair for all.
