A MESSAGE FROM Tracy Day
Alzheimer's and dementia has touched people I love on both sides of my family. On my dad's side was my grandfather Thomas Patton (who all the grandkids called "Pap-pap"), on my mom's side of the family there was my Grammy, Imogene Szymanski... and at least two of her children: my mom and my aunt Donna. I had heard someone say they think my Uncle Bill is also affected, but as he's estranged from my mom I'm not entirely sure.
Our experiences and memories make us who we are...and I hate that Alzheimers and dementia take those things away from the people I love.
