Hello Everyone!

My name is Travis Behm.  I am from Syracuse, NY and I will be running for the SUDC Foundation at the New York City Marathon in November!

SUDC, or Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood, affects hundreds of kids each year and these deaths go unexplained, even after a thorough investigation and autopsy.

I learned what SUDC was a little more than four years ago when two of my really good friends lost a child due to SUDC.  The SUDC foundation helped my friends navigate one of the worst situations you could possibly go through.  In addition to providing support to families affected by SUDC, the foundation also supports research initiatives to understand risk factors for SUDC in an effort to develop preventative strategies. 

Over the past couple of years, I’ve participated in a variety of events in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the SUDC Foundation.  It began a little over three years ago when I ran the Pittsburgh Marathon for the SUDC Foundation team and most recently this past March, I participated in the Stride for SUDC Awareness Challenge (you can read about the challenge here - https://sudc.org/stories-behind-the-stride-how-different-paths-can-lead-us-to-the-same-goal/ )
