A MESSAGE FROM The Jenner Families fundraising page
On May 18, 2019 Ken and I will be running a 5k as part of the Eagles Autism challenge in honor of our daughter, Surraya. Surraya was diagnosed with autism when she was 2 years old. Surraya is now a beautiful 8 year old girl that loves to swim, sing Karaoke and play with her 5 year old sister Parisa, We have seen great progress with Surraya over the years. She loves doing activities with her classmates at Garnet Valley Elementary School and we see slow and steady progress with her at both school and home. That said, her struggles to understand her world, manage her sensory processing disorder, and communicate her wants and needs continues to be a challenge for her and us every day. We relentlessly continue to push to try and maximize her quality of life and Surraya inspires us every day as she continues to achieve great things despite the obstacles she faces. It is so important to us as a family to invest our time and effort in charities that will help people and their families dealing with the challenges of Autism.
The Eagles Autism Challenge is dedicated to raising funds for innovative research and programs to address the complex issues presented by the condition of autism. By providing the necessary resources to thought leaders, we can advance scientific breakthroughs. All participant-raised funds, 100 %, will go directly towards autism research and/or programs at beneficiary partners, as together we shift from autism awareness to action. I hope you will consider making a donation towards my fundraising goal to help transform the lives of those affected by autism today and tomorrow. Thank you!
