I am running and fundraising again this year for the Cade R. Alpard Foundation For Pediatric Liver Disease, an official charity of the Chevron Houston Marathon Run For A Reason Program. Cade, a family friend, was born with Biliary Atresia and received a new liver at 1 year of age. He is now a healthy, smart and athletic college student. This foundation was started to support research and education in the field of pediatric liver disease in hopes of finding a cure other than transplant. They are also advocates in organ donation.
