I am proud to be part of an organization with a mission to save babies lives. Being a father of 3 grown children I am fortunate to have never had to deal with a life altering event like Sudden Unexpected Infant death. It is unimaginable to me to be able to cope with something as devastating as losing a child at any age. SUID and SIDS is something that all parents have thought about. First Candle is dedicated to educating all parents from every socio-economical background.
The loss of a baby from a sudden unexpected death devastates young parents thousands of times a year. First Candle not only is on a mission to educate but also to console. They are there to build support groups for those who have lost a baby so those young parents can learn to cope and have a happy and fulfilling life that they deserve.
Please join me in supporting First Candle and help me reach my fundraising goal as I train for my first NYC marathon. I am relatively new to marathon running and every race is special. But this race is extra special. Not only because it is the New York City marathon, but because it will be my first marathon running for a charity. I am fortunate to be a member of Team First Candle and look forward to educating myself and others to the tremendous work this foundation performs every day.
