A MESSAGE FROM Zachary
Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues
I am thrilled to be running the Chicago Marathon on October 11, 2026, to raise money for Sharsheret, an organization that provides critical support to people and families facing breast and ovarian cancer. Please support me and Sharsheret by donating through my giving page.
I first learned about Sharsheret through a friend who raised money for the organization while running the NYC Marathon a few years ago. I thought it was an incredible cause, even more so because my mother-in-law was being treated for breast cancer around the same time. Thankfully, she responded well to treatment and is doing great now, and I am honored to have my own opportunity to raise money for Sharsheret as I run the Chicago Marathon this year.
Sharsheret is a national organization dedicated to supporting Jewish women and families facing breast and ovarian cancer, while welcoming anyone affected by these diseases. They provide personalized support, education, and resources throughout the cancer journey, ensuring no one has to face it alone.
As many of you probably know, endurance training has become a major focus of mine over the past decade. Chicago will be my seventh marathon in as many years. While I have come to love the challenge of training and racing, this marathon feels particularly meaningful. Having the opportunity to run for such an important cause makes this race about much more than the miles and time.
I am very grateful for your support. Not only as I take on this challenge, but in helping Sharsheret support the many women and families who need them. Thank you for considering a donation!
Warmly,
Zack
