A MESSAGE FROM Zandra's Team Morton Arboretum Fundraising Page
Living through a pandemic has taught me, through reflection, that each day is precious and not promised. It taught me to make new goals, live my best life, and find ways to stay healthy and fit.
Please support me in one of my largest goals to date, to run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Ours is a mother/son team. Evan so graciously agreed (well not actually graciously but it sounded good to write it lol) to help support and encourage me in this endeavor. Seriously I'm truly blessed to have an amazing son that I can always count on, and I'm looking forward to another great bonding experience between the two of us. We've already participated in two races so far this year. I also wanted us to run with a team that supports one of my passions. If you know me, you're aware of my love of nature and especially gardening. I could regularly sleep on the grounds of the Morton Arboretum if they let me.
Pease support my fundraising efforts for the 2022 Bank of America Chicago Marathon as Evan and I run with Team Morton.
Running on behalf of Morton Arboretum matters because….
● As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, The Morton Arboretum relies on the generosity of donors to help advance the planting and conservation of trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world.
● Our training miles are…
○...advancing scientific research happening at The Morton Arboretum, enabling research experts to make new discoveries about threatened trees and find ways to protect them.
○ ...helping care for the Arboretum's 1,700 acres including many threatened species.
○ ...enabling Morton to provide nature-based education for families, adults, and the next generation of tree champions.
