Dear
Friends, Family, Morgan Stanley Co-Workers & Wesleyan Alumni,
I am beyond
excited to announce that I will participate in the 2023 New York City Marathon
as a charity runner! Thank you to those who supported my efforts during the United
Airlines NYC Half Marathon in March. To show my appreciation and dedication to
the cause, I’ll be running again in support of You Gotta Believe (YGB), an
NYC-based organization that provides permanent, loving homes for older youth in
foster care.
Did you
know that there are more than 400,000 youth in foster care throughout the United
States and once they reach the age of 10, they are more than 50% less likely to
be adopted? Each year, an estimated 20,000 will age out alone without a family.
YGB works to train prospective parents, prepares youth in foster care for the
idea of family, and helps to match them together to firm unconditionally loving
families. Every child deserves a family, and each dollar I raise will serve
YGB's mission. Approximately 50% of YGB’s funding comes from generous individuals
like you!
Despite
running Varsity Track and Field at Wesleyan University, 13.1 miles in the colds of March
was no easy task, but thanks to the donors and support of YGB, I am up to the
challenge for the full Marathon, especially to support such an important cause!
Please click here to donate in
support of my efforts. After successfully raising over $1,500 for YGB during
the NYC Half Marathon, I am working towards a new goal of $3,500. Every dollar
helps support You Gotta Believe's mission!

Thank
you, in advance.
