On Sunday, March 16, members of Beit T'Shuvah's Gilberg Family “Running 4 Recovery” Team once again completed the Los Angeles Marathon and Half Marathon!
What began as a small group of hopeful runners and walkers 16 years ago has grown into a powerful movement of resilience, commitment, and healing. The team (made up of residents, alumni, and community members) makes three promises: to train every week for five months, to complete the 26.2-mile marathon (or half marathon), and to raise vital funds for Beit T’Shuvah.
Together, they ran and walked a total of 665 miles on March 16, in addition to approximately 8,000 training miles collectively since October.
Being part of this team is about so much more than running. It’s about pushing past limits, building discipline, and proving to ourselves that we are stronger than our struggles. It’s about rebuilding our lives while giving back to the place that helped save us: Beit T’Shuvah.
We are still actively raising funds for Beit T’Shuvah, aiming to reach our goal of $85,000 by May 1.
Beit T’Shuvah’s mission is to heal broken souls and save the lives of those wrestling with addiction by providing integrated care in a community setting. We believe everyone has the right to redemption, which is why we never turn a single soul away due to their inability to pay.
Please make a donation today.
Together, we can go the distance—for recovery, for hope, and for the people who need it most.
